i decided that i wanted to revamp the entire site. as of writing this, ive finsihed a shiny new about page !! yippee!!!
in my opinion, an about page is one of the most interesting parts of a site. i always love learning a little bit about the webmaster behind an awesome site and to see how they decide to design the page that shows who they are. its kind of like putting yourself into a webpage and i think that's awesome.
i stumbled across a thread on the melonland forums about eliminating social media from one's life, and its reminded how ive somewhat unintentionally cut back heavily on usage of my phone and social media these past few months especially. for the past like 2 years i've had pretty much nothing but freetime on my hands and ive used about 70% of that time scrolling aimlessly on pinterest or instagram or something. it doesnt really help that the internet is full of news stories about horrible things happening in the world lately, and it hurts my mind and my heart. sometimes, i need a break from constant tragic stories on my timeline, tho it makes me feel guilty since not everyone can just walk away from it like i can. oh, and AI too. its everywhere and i hate it ｡ﾟ(ﾟ∩´﹏`∩ﾟ)ﾟ｡ i miss when i didnt have to question everything i see.
