Dexter is, in my opinion, the best show ever made

i first watched this show when i was about 10 or 11, when i had first gotten into crime and cop shows. for whatever reason, i havent stopped watching it since

dexter is a character i relate to in many ways. not because im a killer nor do i want to be, but sometimes his awkwardness and the ways he describes himself can be pretty relatable as an autistic person. i should clarify again, there are obvious exceptions

sometimes i feel like no matter where im at or who im with, im putting on some sort of mask or pretending to be something im not. i find it hard to fit in or relate to many people around me, and constantly feel like some sort of outcast.

on the other hand, i find myself relating to debra a lot too

she's very emotional, sometimes too much, and im convinced that because i've watched this show so many times, i've developed bits of her personality. i remember saying a lot of words a 12 year old should not be saying

Dexter is one of those shows where every character is messed up and flawed in their own ways, but you cant help but adore them. this show and all of its characters mean a lot to me, and i genuinely could go on for hours about each season and what i both hate and love about it.

i have a lot to say about this show and pretty much every character, so i hope someone loves this show as much as i do enough to read it hehe
