welcome to my vocaloid shrine !

i discovered vocaloid when i was about 9 or 10, i'd stumbled across "Ivean Polkka" on youtube and pretty much listened to it on repeat on youtube. id taught myself the dance just by watching the video so much, and my doing so i pretty much fell down a vocaloid rabbit hole.

if u were to ask me who my favorite OG vocaloid was, id have to say Luka!!! some of my favorite songs feature/are sang by her. i've taught myself the entire luka luka night fever dance, all i need is a cosplay :3

i had a minecraft world i used for 2 years named "miku hatsune," wish i had acces to it these days...i wonder what i was building haha

through vocaloid, i discovered regular j-pop. i listened to tons of j-pop artists, like kyary pamyu pamyu, and any song that had "hatsune miku" or "megurine luka" in the title. the songs i listened to were always so cheery and happy sounding, i wanted to live in a lively and colorful world like in some of the music videos!!

i still love to listen to my hours long vocaloid playlist and i still play project diva and project sekai!!! safe to say miku has a very special role in my lore hehe

vocaloid!!!

hello, welcome to my shrine of vocaloid :3

this page is where i'll talk about miku and luka, share vocaloid songs, graphics etc, and probably talk a bit about project sekai as well

i've loved miku and vocaloid in general since i was a kid. i was always seen as "weird" for having a facination with anime style art and japanese music, and i always felt kinda ashamed about loving these things so much. but im older now, and i have my own site to talk about the things that i love!!

i've played a couple of miku games and i've collected lots of merch throughout the years. if i can find any of these items, i'll happily share them on this page!!!

the sound of a voicaloid is something thats always made me really happy, it just makes my brain tingle n brings me so much joy. i always loved mikus color theme, and the early 00s artstyle they were always drawn in. a lot of my interests came from my original discovery of miku hehe.

i'd LOVEEE to cosplay sakura, strawberry (goodsmile), and snowmix miku someday, im obsessed with pretty much any pink/cutesy miku variant.

speaking of miku variants, another thing i adore about vocaloid is the community!! im always surprised at the cute and silly ways people use miku to represent something, some people even make mikus based on their culture or nationality!!

miku fans are super creative, i've seen so many beautiful and super well made cosplays and fanarts from this community. miku enjoyers are super super cool!!!!

how did i discover vocaloid?????

im going to be incredibly honest and say i found out about miku through a shane dawson video....embarassing. he was talking about some insta model and how everyone thought she was a robot (she was literally just a hyper realistic 3d model) and how japan has their own "virtual idol," and i got curious. after looking her up on youtube, i found ivean polkka. dont ask me why but for about a year that was the only vocaloid song i knew and i was obsessed with it, i learned the dance and would dance to the song alone in my bathroom mirror for a bit too long hehe.

once i looked into her more and heard more music made with mikus voicebox, i fell in deep love. i learned about other vocaloids and became so excited that there was more than just miku.

more soon!!!!!
